The Journey & Direction
Documenting a grand South Indian Muhurtham is an athletic test of alertness and cultural precision. The flurry of Akshadai, the rising smoke of the homam, and the rapid sequence of rituals require instantaneous focus. Dhivakar captured the tender father-daughter glance during Kanyadaan, the joyous laughter during the Oonjal swing songs, and the regal serenity of the Mangalya Dharanam.

We deployed directional ambient lighting to accent the gold zari in the bridal saree without washing out the warm orange glow of the sacred sacrificial fire.
