Arun & Boovi — Post-Wedding Story
“When Arun and Boovi sat down with Dhivakar after their wedding ceremonies, their brief was simple yet rare: 'We spent our wedding day greeting two thousand guests. Now we just want a quiet film that feels like us.'”
The Journey & Direction
We designed a two-phase visual journey. The first chapter unfolded in the high elevations of Kodaikanal, where rolling mountain fog softened the landscape into a dreamlike canvas. Armed with full-frame cinema glass and a lightweight gimbal, Dhivakar allowed the couple to walk freely along old colonial pine trails. There were no microphones shoved in faces, no repeated takes—only genuine dialogue and gentle laughter.
For the second chapter, we transitioned to the textured golden sands of coastal Mahabalipuram. At sunset, the low sun cast long dramatic silhouettes across the shoreline. By pairing intimate 85mm portrait lenses with wide 24mm environmental perspectives, the film captures both the microscopic tenderness of their bond and the vastness of the natural world surrounding them.

Behind The Scenes
We shot during two micro-windows: 5:45 AM to 7:30 AM for the mountain fog, and 5:00 PM to 6:20 PM for coastal golden hour. All audio was recorded organically using discreet ambient binaural microphones to capture the rustling pines and ocean surf.
